LCI, a multi-site manufacturing, distribution, retail and E-Commerce company is seeking a Manager, Demand Planner to join our team.

DESCRIPTION:  The Demand Planner is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. The position assists in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models. Creates and maintains forecast models incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, buyers, and other sources.  Plans inventory flow, analyzes statistical data in multiple markets, and generates forecasting solutions for each distribution channel. Drives successful Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) processes with Purchasing, Sales, Finance, and Operations teams. Supports SIOP process with timely and accurate data, analysis, reporting, tracking and metrics. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop forecasting/planning and inventory strategies and make recommendations. Generates weekly, monthly, and quarterly supply and plans that meet company KPIs & objectives. Develops, implements and manages a comprehensive demand forecast and planning process. Develops effective forecast models to optimize inventory levels and maintain high fill rates. Ensures data, analysis and reports address vendor, customer, and product-level (SKU) details. Develops bottom-up / top-down forecasts, aligned with historical & future trends. Proposes and implements solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy. Monitors and reports on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies. Analyzes and reports on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business conditions. Supports management with risk assessments and mitigation activities. Coordinates with SIOP team to set order quantities of new/existing products and to ensure smooth product transitions/launches. Evaluates the effectiveness of demand forecasts to actual results and future plans. Helps drive customer KPIs (customer fill rate, in-stock %, inventory, on-time ship) through accurate detailed forecasting and analysis. Executes root cause analysis of stock outs, Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory, and proposes improvement plans to minimize inventory exposure for each distribution channel. Participates in planning and executing both short-term and long-term strategies to prepare for company's continued growth and success. Works with Finance to ensure that forecasts are included in forward projections and budgets. Provides sales and product variance analyses of forecast compared to budget and prior year. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Undergraduate college degree (B.S. in Business or Supply Chain preferred). Minimum 3 to 5 years work experience in demand planning/forecasting role. Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) experience. Advanced Excel modeling skills (macros, vlookup, pivot tables, conditional formulas, etc.) Working knowledge with Business Intelligence solutions (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, etc.) Proficient in working with ERP and/or inventory management systems. Knowledge of SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and Microsoft Dynamics 2012/365 preferred. Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques (ETL). Extensive experience in analyzing large data sets and conducting ad hoc analysis. Demonstrated high level of attention to detail, accuracy and data integrity. Aptitude for blending quantitative and qualitative data. Ability to work within a cross-functional (matrix) organization. Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures. Strong analytical, planning, organization and communication skills.
